Lava lamp lip gloss is fun, nourishing to your lips, and it makes them oh so soft! I love this recipe because not only is it a fun gift the ingredients are all natural!

My daughter and I like to make homemade Christmas gifts, this is one of the gifts we gave out last year. BTW it would also make a great Valentine’s Day gift!

RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons Castor Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Vegetable Glycerin
  • Pigment 1/8 to ¼ teaspoon mica or eye shadow (do not use glitter, as you don’t want anyone  to ingest it. Most kids will lick it off their lips)
  • 2 drops of essential oil… I used “Skin So Soft” by Plant Therapy its kid Safe
  • Clear glass rollerball bottles

Directions

  1. Mix the glycerin, mica and essential oil together until there are no lumps
  2. Put it in the glass lip gloss bottle, and fill the rest of the bottle with castor oil leaving about ¼ inch to accommodate the roller ball.
