Dancing Rainbow Ribbon Wand & Rings

Kids love these homemade dancing ribbon wands and rings. This DIY toy is easy to make and encourage movement, dancing, and fun imaginative play just add some music and the kids are good to go!

My daughter loves music and dancing and being the little princess she is I knew she would love to play with dancing ribbons. 

These homemade dancing ribbon wands and rings would make great handmade gifts for little ones. Perfect for birthdays, a surprise in the Easter basket or stocking stuffers!

How to make dancing ribbon wands

SUPPLIES

DIRECTIONS

  • Cut your ribbon to the desired length
  • Cut your dowel to the wands desired length
  • Screw eye hook in top of the dowel
  • Paint the dowel if desired
  • Tie a ribbon to the eyehook
  • Tie a bell to the top of the wand
  • To stop your ribbon from fraying, quickly run the ribbon ends through a flame from a lighter, This will melt and seal the ends.

How to make dancing ribbon rings

SUPPLIES

DIRECTIONS

  • Cut your ribbon to the desired length (note: they are going to be tied in half on the rings
  • Tie each ribbon on the ring as shown in the photos below, double knotting them
  • To stop your ribbon from fraying, quickly run the ribbon ends through a flame from a lighter, This will melt and seal the ends.
