When I came across this Salt-Powered Robot kit on Amazon. I knew my kindergartener would be excited to build him. She is fascinated by robots and I had recently shown her the movie “Short Circit” and this cool little robot looks like a mini-me of “Johnny 5”!

My daughter and her Uncle built this little robot together, he was fairly easy to assemble and best of all he works! The robot is powered by the chemical reaction of saltwater and charcoal! Add the saltwater drops and off he goes! He is a fun little educational toy as it teaches children, robotics,  mechanical principles, engineering, the value of alternative energy sources and creativity.
